Our Impact
“We adopted a child for many reasons. Some idealistic, some selfish, and some altruistic. You say ‘I have love to give, and there are, kids that need to be loved.’ We knew it would be a challenge but like many, we had no idea the challenges that FASD creates, when the Executive Functioning of one’s brain doesn’t work correctly. We struggled for many years on our own until my sister in law found NOFAS Washington. We immediately had a support group in place with monthly meetings, a Facebook group with an almost instantaneous answers and resources. Children with this diagnosis can fracture intact families of good people who are trying to make a difference.
FASD Focus NW does not profit financially from their services. In order to continue to offer these excellent services and supports that families and others can access regardless of their financial situation, they rely on donations of time, expertise, energy, and money. In this season of giving, we ask you to reflect on the great work and invaluable resources offered by FASD Focus NW and to support this excellent organization through a gift. ”
